MOBILE CAR LOCKSMITH ATLANTA, GA
Our factory-trained repair technician and automotive locksmith come to you to provide convenient state-of-the-art car key cutting and programming services in a professional manner. Call today for peace of mind that you will get expert service from a qualified professional.
We will need to take a picture of a valid unexpired copy of the Registered Owners' driver's License and either the Registration, Insurance, Title, or Bill of Sale.
Our NASTF VSP retrieves a key code from the automaker that tells us which key profile to cut to fit your locks. We simply insert the new key into the door and unlock the car without any damage.
Cars and Light Trucks manufactured from 1996 onward have extra security features built into the key to prevent theft. These features include a “transponder chip” embedded inside the head of the key.
This technology prevents the engine from starting by turning the ignition by force or picking the ignition lock and makes “hot wiring” the vehicle impossible.
When a key is inserted into the ignition and the ignition is switched on, a transponder embedded in the head of the key is energized by an exciter coil that surrounds the ignition lock cylinder.
The energized transponder transmits a signal that contains its unique alphanumeric code. If the code received doesn’t match what is stored in the vehicle's anti-theft system, engine starting is disabled.
